What is Popley Forum?

The Popley Forum is a group of residents who want to improve the profile and quality of life in our Popley area.

When we started in December 1996 with a meeting in Popley Fields Centre we did not know what to do and where to start so we decided that we should start with resurrecting the Popley Matter although there had only been four issues in five years. We would continue to call it Popley Matters. But we were adamant that we wanted the residents of Popley to have their say on the issues and concerns they have.

Popley Forum have met on many issues so far from: Popley Poets and the problems they had there to litter, anti social behaviour, a need for a new surgery, lack of buses and other facilities.

But the only way we can get improvements in Popley is for us to work together contact us or come to the Popley Forum meetings.

The Forum is there for you to express your views.

We are currently trying to arrange a Forum  meeting to talk about the regeneration of the Longfellow Parade area. further details will appear here and on notice boards etc.
